FRENCH SILVER EMPIRE WRITING SET ANTIQUE DIP PEN LETTER OPENER SEAL BOX 1850

This is for a lovely antique French Empire silver desktop writing set in its original display box dating to around 1830 to 1850 The box is lined in vibrant green velvet and moulded to hold the matching dip pen, letter opener, and seal. The dip pen has a Bramah clip style nib clip with the original ring to clamp a little quill slip or nib in place I have even got the original quill nib and spare in the storage compartment. Another rare piece included is a quill trimmer. The letter opener is finely decorated, it has a steel body and silver gilt handle, the steel is very finely patterned with a elaborate scroll work design. All four pieces have the same heavily decorated design on both sides of the handles are exquisitely enamelled and have 24 ct gold applied. This set is in really nice condition, it looks like it was never used, it has no damage, just a tiny little crazing on the letter opener. The wax seal has no monogram and the interior of the box is clean with no damage to the silk under the lid.

The pen measures 180mm long, the seal is 71mm tall, the quill trimmer is 155mm long and the letter opener is 190mm
